Fumio Tomidokoro Creative Kokeshi Doll – Harubiyori (16cm/6.3 inches)

This creative Kokeshi doll was made by Fumio Tomidokoro (1948-). She’s titled 春日和 (Harubiyori) “A clear and calm day before spring arrives”.
Her kimono is colored in various shades of pink and features beautifully carved plum flowers. Plum is the first flower to blossom after the winter and for that reason it’s symbolizes persistency, endurance and good luck in Japan.

In mint condition, comes with the original box and wooden sign.
