Chubby Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Master Kazuo Takamizawa (19.5cm/7.6 inches)

This lovely vintage kokeshi is wearing a kimono in dark orange colors with a colorful obi (belt) in light green and black. Made and signed by master Kazuo Takamizawa (1927~).

Kazuo Takamizawa was born in 1927 and started making kokeshi doll in his early 20’s. At the beginning he used very little color and starting from the 70’s he began giving his creations more color. He has won the prestigious prime minister award along other prizes for his works.

In very good condition with signs of age and use.
