Vintage Kokeshi Doll by Kato Masami (18cm/7 inches)

Vintage Japanese Kokeshi Doll made and signed by Master Kato Masami (1925~).

Born in Naruko in Miyagi prefecture in 1925. Her husband who was a traditional kokeshi master taught her the art of kokeshi making. She has won numerous awards including the most prestigious Prime Minister Award.

In great condition with signs of age and use.
