Yahagi Ichiko Creative Kokeshi Doll – Hanasato (12cm/4.7 inches)

This creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Yahagi Ichiko (1952-). Her title is 花里 (Hanasato) which can be translated to “Flower Village”. She’s wearing an elaborate yellow kimono with various flowers and kanoko (deer fawn spots) pattern. Her hair is beautifully carved.

Yahagi Ichiko was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
