Creative Kokeshi Doll by Ichiko Yahagi – Miyu (9.8cm/3.8 inches)

This creative kokeshi doll was made and signed by Ichiko Yahagi (1952-). Her title is 美結 (Miyu) which is a girl’s name. She’s wearing an orange kimono with red stripes and a cute kimono belt with a ribbon tied on her back.

Ichiko Yahagi was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
