Kazuo Takamizawa Vintage Sosaku Kokeshi Doll (17.5cm/6.8 inches)

Japanese vintage creative kokeshi doll made by master Kazuo Takamizawa (1927~).

She has his signature camellia flowers on her kimono and an elegant hairstyle.

Kazuo Takamizawa was born in 1927 and started making kokeshi doll in his early 20’s. At the beginning he used very little color and starting from the 70’s he began giving his creations more color. He has won the prestigious prime minister award along other prizes for his works.

In very good condition with signs of age and use. Unsigned.
