Inosuke Kobayashi Vintage Kokeshi Doll – Flower Meadow (37cm/14.5 inches)

This vintage creative kokeshi doll was made & signed by the late master Kobayashi Inosuke (1931-2000). Her title is 花野 (Hanano) which means “Flower Meadow”. Her body is covered in flowers carved on top of her natural wood color kimono.

He was born in 1931 in Gunma prefecture and won multiple awards for his kokeshi dolls throughout his life, including winning the prestigious Prime Minister award in 1979. His dolls are usually tall and elegant featuring natural wood colors combined colorful kimonos.

In very good condition with visible signs of age and use.
