This lovely kokeshi doll was made by the very talented and multiple award winner Chiyomi Horiuchi (1956~).

She’s titled ないしょ (Naisho) which means “Secret”. She’s wearing a blue kimono with an asanoha pattern, a red veil with pink flowers and holds a naughty looking white cat on the front. Perhaps she’s keeping the existence of the cat a secret from her parents?

In mint condition. Comes with the original box and wooden sign.
