This creative Hina Kokeshi doll set was made by Fumio Tomidokoro (1948-).
In hina dolls, the left doll tradtionally represents the emperor while the right doll represents the empress. They are put out to displayed during Hina Matsuri which is the Girl’s Festival in Japan at the end of February until the 3rd of March, carrying the wish for the healthy growth of girls.
In mint condition, comes with the original box.
