Miyashita Hajime Tall Vintage Kokeshi Doll (41cm/16.1 inches)

This tall vintage kokeshi doll was made by Miyashita Hajime (1940~) who won multiple awards for his kokeshi dolls.

The color theme says autumn but the kimono says spring by featuring sakura flowers in various designs and colors.

Miyashita Hajime is a multiple award winner master who was born in 1940. The current Japanese emperor and empress are fans of him and used to collect his dolls. In 2006 he retired after his kokeshi shop burnt down in a fire.

In good condition with visible marks of age and use. Please inspect all pictures.
