This exclusive kokeshi doll was made by the talented and long time kokeshi artist Yahagi Ichiko (1952-). Her title is おさらい (Osarai). She’s wearing a stunning kimono with a colorful and an intricate repeating pattern. Tied on her back is a beautiful obi in purple with floral decorations and her hair is masterfully carved all around in different angles giving her a very realistic look. She also has a cute red ribbon on top of her head.

Ichiko Yahagi was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
