Creative Kokeshi Doll by Ichiko Yahagi – Yoshino (8cm/3.1 inches)

Vintage creative kokeshi doll made and signed by Ichiko Yahagi (1952-). Her title is よしの (Yoshino), which is a girl’s name. Her kimono is decorated with a beautiful repeating geometrical pattern in green, red and orange.

Ichiko Yahagi was born in Ishikawa prefecture, Kaga city in 1952. She has won many prizes for her unique and beautiful kokeshi dolls and also taught the art of kokeshi making to active artists.

In mint condition. Comes with a black wooden base and the original box.
